Network Licensing lets users install the software anywhere on their network, but control how many instances of your application they can share at the same time.
Network License Service | A WCF service that runs as a windows service. The network license service controls usage of a network license. It maintains a list of network clients authorized usage of the protected software and denies usage requests in case the total number of clients using the protected software exceeds the number specified in the license. |
Network Client | The protected software acts as a network client. It connects to the network license service and request usage of the shared license. The communication channel between the protected software and the network license service must remain open to ensure license validity for the duration it's used by the protected software. |
Network License Dashboard | A web-based interface that offers a simple view into real-time usage of the protected software. Use the dashboard to monitor license usage, view license service logs and control license usage. |
